What Would You Do Next? Down to .125mg of Klonopin - time to jump?

Tapering from 1mg of Klonopin.

Tried a quick taper in July but went too quickly. Reinstated at 0.75mg in August. Been doing small cuts and now I'm down to 0.125 every night. My doc prescribed Gabapentin which I take sometimes and not others. Not sure if this is helping or hurting?

I know that slow is better. Been very uncomfortable along the way. Light-headed, brain-foggy, tired but also wired up... Grumpy and agitated. I feel like my head is a balloon that is going to pop. Mood shifts around all day long. Sometimes I feel fine.

These feelings change when doses drop.

If you were me, would you just pull the plug soon? I realize that this is going to suck for X more days, weeks, months....But at some point I need to make the jump and I'd like to not taper 0.125 mg by 10% and another and another forever.

Reminding myself that I am progressing. My dose is down over 80% since July.

Everybody is different. But when did you jump off?

Want to know when DAY 1 of a benzo free life begins.

Thank you!

E

I would taper lower before jumping.

You're doing great, but you're not quite home-free until you tackle the Ambien.

Kind regards,

CP

Congratulations getting so close to jump time!  I jumped at .04mg, which took a little over two months from .125mg. For the end, I ignored percentages, and cut .006 grams each week using a scale (C/H).

This method worked well for me.

Good luck,

WR

If you do a liquid daily micro taper of the final .125 I think you will find it to be the easiest route

You're doing very well and the gabapentin helps me but not everyone. At .125 with your very positive attitude I'd try .0625 and the be done. If I'm doing well I'm afraid I don't follow the rules. I do in a bad patch but I mean BAD. So I'd set yourself free and accept some discomfort if I had any but be delighted to be finally free. B

Thanks so much all!

I'm still hooked on Ambien. My goal is to be free of benzos and sleeping pills in 2017.

I've been told to tackle one at a time and getting off Klonopin is what I'm focused on right now... Hopefully in a month, I'll be off and can start working on Ambien.

I know that both meds can be hard on your system when taken for too long...

I'll do one more Klonopin cut next week, hold for a week, and make the jump...

Thx all!

E
