St Johns Wort

I'm just wondering if anyone has had any (however small) success with this for intrusive thoughts, rumination, hopelessness, etc.. and just general well being in post withdrawal? I know what the Ashton Manual says but I think everyone is different and some things should be given a shot. I found some older posts but am hoping there is some recent experience in the forums.

I have thought about trying St . John's Wort..maybe when the depression gets really bad. Today it is quite bad - but going to wait it out.

 

I tried St.John's Wort when I was in my 20's and I felt fantastic. And I am someone who can't tolerate pharmacy grade SSRIs. My back pain even went away

 

Wondering if you ever did try it.

Yes I did give it a go... but it didn't work for me. I know it does for some people but unfortunately I wasn't one of them.

Yes, it worked for me and still does when I take it, but it's a pain in the neck to keep up with the doses.

I was warned not to take it as it is cross tolerant to benzos.
