Sleep changing?

[Da...]

Recommended Posts

Ive been having issues sleeping where I fall asleep then wake up a couple hours later, usually panicking and sometime awake for hours.

Last night I slept great, like a rock but today I'm beyond exhausted still and feel like I was up all night or like I've got a sedative in me.

Is this normal?

I think it's really normal dad. Usually when I sleep like a log I'm totally wiped out the next day but if I'm up with bad dreams etc several times I'm ok the next day. Last night I slept from about 11:30 till 5:00 but went to the bathroom and went right back to sleep. Our pup woke me up around 7:00 but I could easily have gone back to bed till 9:00. I deliberately got up to avoid the sluggishness that I'd feel all day if I slept in. So if I wake up by 6:30 or 7 I get up. The days are gone where I actually enjoy sleeping in. So I think it's pretty common. The best sleep for me is a solid 11:30 till 6:30. Then I'm at my best. I've got the flu though so probably should have slept till 9:00 today regardless. Too late now. Argh! B

I'm lucky in that even though I wake up with bad dreams sometimes the panic wake ups have now pretty much passed. But yes they were constantly a horrible problem. Good news...they went away. Hopefully this is the same for you. B

Yes! Sounds like me exactly. Most nights, I wake up every 1-2 hours with total adrenaline rush & serious heart palps. Those few days I do sleep for several hours, I do feel utterly exhausted. Hope this goes away soon. I'm 4 weeks post jump. And in acute HELL.  :(
