Zoloft experience!

I want to know about anyone's issues with Zoloft. Addiction, w/d, etc.

Personally, I had a horrible experience with zoloft.

But for most folks, its a very effective AD, can help with benzo WD and has a fairly safe side fxs profile.

Do not make decisions about med therapy based on what people tell you on the internet.

I gained weight, felt fatigued and had delayed orgasm while on Zoloft. It helped in many ways in dealing with stress and difficult life transition but I quit because of the SX. I use different ways to cope with life now, including quitting drinking, regular exercise and mindful meditation.

I've taken it on and off and have had no issues with it. I'm on it now and don't think it's hurting my situation but I do think it has stopped working. I think it stopped working very quickly after I started it. I'm wanting to cut it out of the mix because of that but worry and will get rid of it last.

I had activation syndrome on Zoloft in 2012. It's what led me to being prescribed Valium for the panic attacks that I was left with. Activation syndrome for me was worse than valium withdrawal with the exclusion that once you stop the Zoloft, the activation syndrome stops quick.

Thank you all. My husband has been prescribed this med and it scared me, so I wanted some first hand experiences with this drug.

Thank you all. My husband has been prescribed this med and it scared me, so I wanted some first hand experiences with this drug.

It's one of the more trusted antidepressants so I wouldn't worry too much. I took it while breast feeding because it doesn't transfer to breast milk. I'm sure this is not a concern of your husband . At the time it was the only drug I was on and I felt great! I crossed over to another antidepressant later and had no troubles switching. I wound up switching back as I liked Zoloft more. This is just my experience and I have taken AD for many years now. If it's the first AD your husband has ever been on take it real slow.

I was put on during this taper. I'm not sure if it has helped any and plan to taper off it once I get off the benzos. One thing I did notice is, er, and increase in bowel movements though. Everyone id different though.
