Tinnitus

[iw...]

Recommended Posts

Tinnitus has been my worst symptom and it is driving me crazy.  It sounds like electricity in my head and fluctuates in loudness.  Some days are worse than others.  I do notice that overall it isn't as loud as it was in the beginning, but it is still constantly there.  I have been suffering from it for almost 16 months now since I jumped the first time.  Will it disappear?  Or is this the pattern of permanent tinnitus?  Many people have said it does go away, but I haven't really heard how it goes away.  Can I hear from those people?  I need hope.

Does it also feel like there is pressure or swelling in your ears into the upper throat right behind the ear lobes?

This is how it is with me, but the tinnitus is not the worst part for me. It is that pressure.

It's not the wordt symptome for me, more a minor inconvinience.

It's there especially when thinking about it.

For example, I have it now since I'm talking about it, but distraction from it solves it with me.

Hard to explain, but it's similar for me as being aware of breathing and start breathing manually and aware of breathing instead of breathing automaticly.

Maybe some distrsction that removes the thought of it will help?

One thing I recognize by my own symptom of tinnitus. the more attention you give it and the more you fight against it, the more it will be there.

Accept it and embrace it to get rid of it.

Good luck OP.

We will be healed one day 😉

I had about five tones of screaming tinnitus in my right ear to begin with, then one day I noticed it had reduced to two, and now one. It's still there a bit but, as hard as I know it is, I don't give it the time of day. I know being told to distract yourself may be frustrating, but it works, it works so well that it's a recommended method of treating tinnitus. Next thing I knew, it had reduced.

I have it exactly the same - it's like a fizzing crackling electricity noise in my head - mostly the right side. Sometimes I get sensations like tricking water or rushing sensations it can be very loud making it hard to sleep and hard when there isn't background noise - even when there is. It's been four months since clonazepam taper for me and although there have been a lot of symptoms this has been the most disturbing and constant.

You are not alone.

Yup, excactly, pay no attention to the things we don't like. Observe and move on🎈💕

T is definitely stress related, independent of withdrawal effects..

And i agree with what others have said, when you pay less attention to it - it reduces.

but masking noises definitely help - esp in super quiet enviro :)
