I'm sorry I don't know which would be safe to take but definitely do NOT take flagyl. Best wishes clearing up your infection!

What antibiotic have you end up taking.  My doctor prescribed me Augmentin, but I am terrified to start taking it.

You should have no problems with augmentin.  The only ABs that benzo users should avoid are the quinolone group (Cipro, etc,)

Most AB do carry some risk of moderate side effects, but that's true for everyone, not just benzo users.

I've take Augmentin twice for extended times during my taper for UTI/Prostatitis.  It led to me pausing my taper, but has not caused any other problems.

Amoxicillin is the easiest on your gut flora. Other antibiotics can annihilate your gut and mess it up for months. Amoxicillin only disturbs it for 1 week. It prevents bacteria growth rather than actually killing bacteria.
