Don't you think that so much stress and fear from WD can make us physical sick?

Ever since I am in WD I have more and more problems with my health.I talked about that with my psychologist and he said that being long time under stress and fear can bring a big problems with health.I do believe in that too because my health is going rapidly down. What do you think about that?

I have been thinking the same, and I'm now taking my symptoms as they come, I observe them but I don't do anything about them, worked hard to not freak out whenever I get a pfysical symptom, and my psychic symptoms are definitely much better.

And I do think we are under a huge stress, when I was really in acute with all symptoms pampering down on me, before I found benzo buddies, I was actually feeling like I've been in a war for several years, and could easily imagine those people with ptsd coming from war.

Let's not ad more fear to this now, its true stress can be the trigger for those conditions, and I had that fear in the beginning....but we also have to lear to understand what is w/d and then take the symptoms for what they are! That way we will stress down. Observe and be calm.

Of course you are right.  :smitten:I do not want to make panic or so,but I just want to bring awerness that this WD is harder and more dangerus than doctors and people thinks...This medicals are dangerous when you are taking them, when you are in WD and after because you can get sick...We must stop Doctor to give them to people. :tickedoff: :tickedoff:

In Germany where I live they are bit more carefull but nit enough.

I totally agree, I'm so angry that there isn't enough knowledge about what these meds are doing to people, the medical industry is a scam!!!  :tickedoff:

If benzodiazepine withdrawal would cause any actual illnesses, then no one would really recover from it. Some people have it for years and even then make full recoveries, so I don't think it's anything to worry about.

Yes, you're 100% right. Stress and depression lower the immune system, and can cause all sorts of physical issues.

I agree! We don't need to add to the stress! I'm not impressed with this psychologist for adding this burden on his patients shoulders.

My immune system was so much weaker when I was taking the pills.    I know my bodies stressed from my nerves and brain trying to readjust, but now I'm through Acute, my body is HEALING.    When I was taking those pills I had the flu and colds every year; my bowel was upset, my sleep was disturbed.

I jumped in May (reinstated then jumped again in June) and wow, I've FELT as though my bodies been through so much.  My biggest concern was seizures, and I was 'on the ready' to ask for gabapentin.    My concern has also been neuropathy, but Ashton reckons that too will go away.  My concern has been malabsorption, but my bloods show my electrolytes are okay.  One blood test showed my liver was a bit stressed; the next it was perfect.    I stopped smoking before I jumped because my lung capacity was down.  Taking those pills made my hearing worse, my eyesight worse, my lungs worse, my muscle tone worse.    I've used the askithisia adrenaline rushes to at least try to get some muscle strength BACK after the 6 years of poisoning every part of my system.

I'm been doing WD since May, but I haven't had the flu,  I'm not dead, I'm feeling, on one level, more human,  and I'm getting glimpses, in the windows I'm starting to experience, of how good my life could have been, and is going to be.  I really think it will take me 2-3 years to fully get there, but I also think I'll be able to 'wing it' within the year to at least look as though I'm functioning wholly.

WD has been terrifying, and I didn't think, and sometimes still feel, as though I'm not going to make it.  But that may be an unsubstantiated thought triggered by an over-adrenalised cortisol flooded brain and system;  the 'fight or flight' coming in when there is no rational threat;  the nervous sytem screaming for sustenance, when it's just lost its way.    I actually think, despite the skin burning, calloused toes, lifting finger nails, red hands, cysts being my ears and baby cysts appearing on my face,  dark hairs appearing on my legs where light ones used to be,  dry eyes, and heart palps.  high blood pressure, low blood pressure,  dehydration, brain jolts, euphoria, confusion,  blood noses from nowhere,  vision problems, vertigo, dry mouth, trouble swallowing, reflux, sluggish digestion, stomach not emptying, constipation, diarrohea, hemoroids from nowhere,  hyperventilation........  I strangely actually think my immune systems better than it's been for a while  :D::):smitten:8) - all that adrenaline must be killing SOME bugs  :idiot:
