When can we take certain supplements again?

I know that during withdrawal some supplements that normally make people feel relaxed, or for sleep, can actually cause symptoms, such as magnesium, chamomile, ashwaganda, and others (GABA precursors).  Am I correct in thinking, then, that once we are done with withdrawal that we will be able to use these supplements?  If so, how do you know when is a good time to try?  I think I may be within a couple of months, and just thinking ahead here.  I think I'm also asking how do you know when you're through the withdrawal?  Is there a time frame such as, if you haven't had symptoms for a certain period of time, etc.  I'm new to this forum, so I apologize if this topic has been discussed a lot.  Thank you!

I don't think that there's any absolute timeline.  It's more a function of how well your body has recovered.  When you feel like trying again, be sure to try just a very small amount.  Then wait a few days before trying again.

I used alcohol as a gauge for my recovery.  I couldn't drink it at all for months, but then I was able to handle a part of a beer, then one beer, then two.  Once I could handle a 'normal' amount, I considered myself physically healed (the emotional stuff took a little longer).  I think that you'd want to use a similar strategy for reintroducing herbal teas/supplements.

I think supplements can be different for different people.  Although many people have symptoms rev up from magnesium, others find it very helpful for muscle issues related to withdrawal.  I took magnesium for months before tapering to help with migraines (which, ironically were caused by the Klonopin).  Because I saw it reved up symptoms, i tried discontinuing it for a few weeks.  I felt so much worse when I stopped it.  Within a few days of restarting it, many of my symptoms were less severe.
