Different triggers at different times?

I was wondering if anyone has experienced a flare of symptoms after a trigger at sometimes but other times not? I'm not even sure how this would make sense?

I've noticed in the past I could consume alcohol and not really have much of a problem, but recently I have and I've had this anxiety/heart fluttery/jumpy feeling for the past week. I've had the same issue with exercise where I've usually been fine but over the summer I went through a period of feeling the same jittery way afterwards.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. It starts to make me wonder if the symptoms are perhaps not related to the benzo withdrawal.

Thanks! ;-)

I've had the same experience. It seems like when I have something alcoholic it becomes a roll of the dice. I've had revved up symptoms about every time that I do. Sometimes not bad, others I have regrets that I had a glass or two. Exercise sometimes trigger symptoms but not very often. You have been off one year now? If so, just about anything can trigger. This is from experience.

Thanks for the reply! Yes I finished a Valium taper 1 year ago. I had a medical emergency a few months ago and was given ativan in the ER but otherwise benzo-free. Just curious why you would say more things might trigger me now than before?

I am currently trying to identify triggers. One I found yesterday, a new ecig I've been using!. I did an experiment and avoided using it and then tried it in the evening, ugh, terrible worsening of my pain and inner vibrations. I don't know why the heck this is, it's got less nicotine in than my regular e-juice one too!. I'm also experimenting with foods, cutting down on carbs and dairy. I've noticed if I have dairy after about 4pm I will feel more nauseous in the mornings, so I'm cutting back on dairy, sugar, carbs etc. I never had a bad diet before so it's not that difficult. What is pretty confusing though is trying to identify these triggers. The only way for me to do it is to experiment and see if something makes me worse. Alcohol is a big no no too, and all types of physical excursion are making me really sick now. I am not moving, tied to the sofa, very lethargic, so I've got to watch my diet anyway as I can't exercise. Oh joy  ::)
