Intermittent jaw pain

[Sh...]

Recommended Posts

Anyone have this pain with Ativan withdrawal?  It started about 4 days ago, and feels like an electrical, stabbing pain on the left side of my jaw. I get episodes every 20 to 30 seconds, which will go on for a few hours.  They don't interrupt my sleep, but can be excruciating and debilitating when they happen during the day.

I've been doing a very slow, gradual taper in the last year. I only reduce by 0.5% every 8 to 14 days, and I'm down from 1.35 mg to 1.04 mg/day.

I've just started to notice something similar. It's not stabbing, and it's bilateral (I think), but I'm definitely noticing an annoying twinge or pain in the hinges of my jaw at times. I rub my fingers there a lot, to see if the areas are swollen, but they're not.

I need to do better at wearing my bite splint at night. Hoping that helps.
