Duloxetine (cimbalta) cause problems with taper ?

My doctor just percribed Duloxetine for depression and I am micro tapering and struggling. Down to .96 ml per day from 6 of ml Ativan . At times I am bearly hanging on and don't know if I should take take this drug while trying to recover . My new doctor does not seem to know very much about benzo withdrawal. Any advice would help me greatly.
