Severe aggitation and brain fog

Im having such a hard time. has anyone experienced what im describing as severe aggitation. My brain feels very fuzzy and I have bad dp/dp/brain fog. Everything feels like it irritates my brain. I usually pace or rock or throw things. I feel claustrophobic by the way I feel like I cant get out. Its really bad and so super uncomfortable. Has anyone experienced this and is there any supplement U can try. Inositol and atarax doesnt help. THanks.

I have severe DP and some DR and agitation, rage, etc. also. I also have what you are describing and it makes me literally feel like I wanna rip my brain out of my head to make it all stop. My head feels full also and has a weird physical sensation to it I can't even describe. This feeling is mental akathisia and it's AWFUL!

Yes. I too am experiencing severe agitation.

When it comes (about 4-5 times a day) it lasts 15 - 60 minutes and I squirm, and pace, but worse, I pinch myself or squeeze something into my hand, or things im too embarrassed to detail like literally banging my head against a wall (I'll say that one because its kind of funny ... almost).  Anything that hurts me to take the pain of the agitation away. (That makes sense doesn't it ! )

It's excruciatingly painful and I'm really really tired of it.

There was a thread today about "adrenaline rush" that seems appropriate and the respondents suggest exercise and keeping blood sugar steady.

I've experienced similar things as you (i.e., agitation, depression and "brain fog").  The last few weeks have been good to me and I feel like my brain is finally starting to "come awake".  I am 15 months out but am just now beginning to see some steady progress.

I exercised yesterday but I also have terrible light sensitivity and migraines so its hard to keep up.

I just want a break so bad. nothing seems to help. The atarax will eventually make me groggy /tired but not in a good way.

  • 3 weeks later...
Oh my God! I just jumped on BB to ask the same question. I'm in my 6th month and everything else has went away except low level anxiety, and this brain fog, or dp. I just wanted to make sure this would go away. It's relentless. When I first wake up its gone, but then as my body wakes up, I fall into it, and it just feels like its permanent. It's horrific. I believe I had this when I first jumped and it went away, but I just don't recall it lasting so long and being so intense. The other thing is my vision during this brain fog, everything seems so vibrant and irritating. I'm in such rage right now and my husband has been getting it, and I'm trying to be nice, but it's so hard. I pray we all get better soon, and I'm sure that's coming.

I feel a same way. As soon as I'm up and my brain starts to work is feels like my brain has anxiety. Is never stops during the day. Is feels like painfull thingling. Everything is irritates my brain, noise, talking, light exercise. Only warm bath give me some relief same like Parker said. I'm in the bath for hrs and hrs afternoon and evening. 8 months out no window yet, but my panick attack getting less and I'm not crying every day with pain. So I consider this some improvement.

Im praying for all of us here every night.

Yes, yes, yes!  I too came on here for exactly what you stated.  I'm going nuts.  And nothing stops it.  Literally, nothing.  So glad to hear I am not alone.

Yes, I am there, having a terrible time right now.  The only thing that seems to help is pacing.
