The joy of a new symptom: Arm numbness, pins and needles, cold, wooden fingers

Hi!

I recently posted a topic when going thru a really bad headache wave. I was so bad and constant (24/7, it would wake me up at night) that I thought I was not going to make it. It lasted two weeks.

Well the good news is that I survived it. The headaches are %95 gone and I even had 3 wonderful days with virtually no symptoms. It left me wondering with what was next.

Then it hit me. Both my arms started hurting like crazy, specially near the biceps/shoulder area, like when you work out too much. Then I started feeling pins and needles on my left hand, and now its a mix of terrible numbness, clumsiness and weakness. Its predominant on my left side, and sometimes it gets so bad that I feel like my left arm and hand are detached from the rest of my body. Even my lower left lip feels numb at times. I've run to the mirror to check myself and off course everything's fine. I havent actually lost control of the arm even if it feels like that. It's already been a week like this, and I'm going crazy.

Ive already been to several doctor's offices and been told everything's fine. But since this is new I'm fighting the urge to go yet again.

Has anyone gone thru something similar? What have you done to alleviate this symptom?

Yes I have symptoms like yours. They seem to worsen with anxiety. I belly breathe and that seems to help short term. The tingling and numbness in my left hand and foot waxes and wanes but seems to be diminishing. Unfortunately. It's being replace by cramps in my calf and thigh. :tickedoff:

Thanks for your reply!

The symptoms do seem to get worse under stress. I hope this particular one is over soon :( I think I have almost completed the checklist of all possible benzo withdrawal symptoms at this point.
