Klonopin Taper

Hello all...

Im currently at 0.125 mg/day of klonopin in which I tapered to in a month or so from 2 mg/day. It hasnt been that bad. The stories ive read actually gave me more anxiety. I think the point is everyones body is different. Starting tomorrow im switching to titration since cutting a pill into 1/8's cant be done that accurately. Im planning on jumping after a week at .0625 mg. Pretty bold statement but am going to deal with it. The one thing that hasnt been affected yet is my sleep (7-8 Hrs/ Day). Wish me luck.

Ive also been keeping a journal each day on how im feeling. Sometimes I need to go back and read it to see where im at (as far as w/d symptoms).

Welcome to Benzo Buddies!  Yes you are quite correct, everyone is different and many people can withdraw from medications like klonopin with few serious issues.  This is your taper and your should direct it based on how you feel.  We will be happy to support and encourage you while you journey to become benzo free.

I'm happy to hear that your sleep has not been affected by the taper, insomnia can be a common issue during this process for some people.  I definitely wish you luck and we'll be here to offer understanding and help for you during this process.
