Waking up extremely nauseous

[Da...]

Recommended Posts

I wake up every day so nauseous that I think I'm going to throw up. It sets off horrible thoughts and I can't get myself to stop. I know it escalates it and I need to get control of it but I just can't get past the nausea.

If you wake up nauseous, what has helped you get through that?

Today I got up, ate a banana and am going to go down and walk/jog on the treadmill. Forcing myself to move because I see some suggestions for that. Anything else?

Nausea was one of the symptoms that led to the discovery that klonopin was responsible for a broad range of medical issues I was experiencing. It developed when I was in what I now know was tolerance withdrawal. If you read my signature, you'll see I had a number of gastro problems. That's why my taper was so fast. I'm tapering from gabapentin now, and each taper worsens my dual withdrawal symptoms. The meds may be causing your nausea. Try small, frequent meals and protein shakes.

Feel better!

I am now just starting to get over this after increasing my dadaily taper rate foolishly  I know the terrible discomfort of this. First ginger root helps a lot I would put make a tea of ginger root and put it next to my bed immediately have some kind of rice cake.  I was so sick a month ago that I would just have to go to a couch ,not talk or move but now I'm able to sit up and the nausea has subsided. it can be debilitating but it does go away. movement walking and not just laying down seems to help.

I am in this boat. Waking up with insides shaking and go to the toilet to gag

But I am barely eating (absolutely no appetite) that there is nothing to vomit

I am so terrified. This sensation is awful. Makes it feel like I will be too weak soon to function.

Afraid of hospitals because taper might be too fast...

One of my most pervasive symptoms! I throw up so often and with a combination of a hernia too makes it so painful. The fasted gentlest med I found was "Nauzeen" . They take the edge off for an hour. I take benedryl or Dramamine on the worse days. Hope things improve...for us all!

My nausea left when the taper rate was re adjusted lower. I am doing a daily liquid microtaper.  The nausea Is your body fighting back from tapering too quickly. It was so bad, I decided to make peace with however long this takes. As I reduce.,% goes up. As soon as a hint of that nausea hits, I will hold and or reduce taper rate.
