antipsychotic adverse reaction

Latuda (one of the newer antipshotics) for  3 weeks (20 mg for 2 weeks then 40 for one week)

I cold turkey stopped that med when I realized I was experiencing akathisia.

The akathisia stayed the same.

It's been 2 1/2 months on no meds and this aka is not abating.

Do you think the latuda(lurasidone) gave me permanent akathisia?

I hear stories of people getting aka in benzo withdrawal or from ssris and healing but I worry something so potent as an antipshotic did permanent damage ...

I don't think it's permanent. I think it's probably just a wave that you are in. It probably doesn't have anything to do with the latuda. You weren't on it too long. You will be ok...keep pushing through!!
