How to start a local support group

How would I go about doing this?

 

There is nothing in the Carolinas.

The best way is to go through meetup.com. Unfortunately there is a fee for that but it is setup specifically to facilitate this type of thing.

 

I have had luck finding people on craigslist but all that will do is put you in contact with people and you will still need some kind of system to organize admin the group. And although I found people by posting an ad on craigslist, it was hard to find anyone who was serious about meeting up. This might be different with meetup since it is more "official".

Glad to hear of that site but it seems ppl in Ohio have a major problem with opiates instead.

I'm sure its that way all across the US. That's why you have to start your own group.
