still having interdose w/d

So I take ativan 4 times a day. At 12am 6am (sleep) 2pm and 6pm. Roughly .26mg per pill. Despite taking four doses I still have interdose withdrawal. Especially at hour 4 and 5. I considered switching to 6 times a day (every 4 hours), but that just seems ridiculous. Also, I seem to feel better after each dose. Like most of it has been eliminated from my body while sleeping. Then builds back up during the day.

Anyway doesn't Ativan have a 10-12 hour half life? It seems like it has a 4 hour half life if you ask me. Do people on longer acting benzos have an easier time tapering? If someone was taking valium with a 36 to 200 hour half life wouldn't they only go into withdrawal once a day? Or how does that work?

I seem to be stuck around 1mg and am wondering if everyone goes into massive withdrawal 4 times a day like I do. It certainly makes tapering quite hard. I've tried switching to a longer acting benzo before, but wasn't successful. Librium didn't keep me out of w/d and Valium gives me panic attacks.

really really interested in the answer to this, interdose w/d is destroying me, I'm living a split personality

So klonopin is giving you interdose to? I hear its supposed to have like a 30 hour half life or so. And you take it 3 times a day? Maybe this is a thing with moderate duration benzos to. I wonder how valium users fare compared to ativan and klonopin.

Ativan has a short duration of action....only a couple of hrs maybe less depending on the individual and dosage. This is why your experiencing  interdose WD

What about moving one of your doses closer to where your getting the WD's the worst? Using one of the night time doses in the day around 4 or 5. Just a thought

Yeah. And it also has the longest duration of action I believe. This all started after I shocked my body from two huge ass cuts a few months ago.... so I think it's the glutamate system working itself out at this point and I'll continue to stabilize. The interdose w/d used to be absolutely horrid and now it sometimes isn't even there, or isnot as bad. Hoping a hold will make other go away once again.  I've heard people holding for 8 months after a big cut. So.... yeah. Fuck this stuff. But I think I accidentally took a double dose a few days ago so I think the rebound effects are what have made the past two days garbage.
