Shortness of Breath/Labored breathing/Heart

Recommended Posts

from time to time I get alot of shortness of breath issues and labored breathing,,,, just another sx to terrify me....

It happens alot when I lay down or get up and walk.... Usually when I get this too it feels like all the muscles from my head all the way down to my chest are literally squeezing and pulling..... I've had this forever but it makes me think that there is something wrong with my heart or is it a muscular thing?

I've had bad tachycardia along time and I keep wondering if that weakened my heart and that's what this is....

if anyone has something similar to share please do....

I forgot to mention the fatigue....

Me too

I went to cardiologist to check electrolytes

Right now I think I am in acute so can barely walk and heart pounding

Considering hospital but dread going so waiting to see.

I'm sorry Jackson.(((.      ))))... If its not one sx its another.. Its like my breathing spasms or something.... Its hard to explain.... You get that labored breathing too? Its so awful.... I keep wondering myself how do you know when to actually go to the hospital?  I check my bp its normal my pulse is normal but I feel faint have trouble walking and can't breathe.... My heart thumps skips beats...

Just so you know I've been like this in the hospital already and they always let me go.... But I keep thinking did they check everything ? Did they miss something?

If it gets very worry some and doesn't calm down..... It may help for peace of mind..... I know how this feels...

Gosh tinwi... I wonder if that's what's causing it.... The rapid pulse...... I have a pulse meter so I'm going to monitor it..... I keep thinking it may be POTS..... I don't know... Heart failure?    all this drives me crazy......

Thank you for your input.....

Pleasebehere, I have had a lot of shortness of breath as well.  I had it first when I was going through my Xanax taper and I'm having it now going through my Valium taper.  I, like Jackson, have the racing heart palpitations and the burning sensations all over my body too.  It's awful.  I thought maybe I had made it through the worst of it, after coming off the Xanax and starting the Valium taper without much problems, but, no such luck, it's hitting me again now.  It's probably my own doing though, I think I was cutting too fast and it's catching up with me now.  I too have been to the hospital ER, urgent care and many, many visits to my doctor's office over the past year and all my tests always come back fine.  I have to keep reminding myself of that when I feel like it might be something more than withdrawals.  Hang in there, we are all in this together!!

I'm so sorry you are going thru this too..... It s so weird.... For me  its almost like I can't eat and breathe at the same time without taking a break because my brain cant do both and I can't breath and talk at the same time without taking a break and huffing and puffing.... It gets so shallow...Everyone notices it and asks me whats wrong with my breathing and why am i talking like that.....

Usually when it happens too my muscles in my chest area get really tight so right away I'm like its the heart but my brother told  me the area I'm feeling the pain when i pointed it out is actually my pectoral muscle... I'm convinced its my heart...

I'm so fatigued and weak  legged if someone tapped me I would keel over...

Sorry for the long story...

I've been on here a lot lately posting my sxs just to get some sort of validation and to see does someone really have it as bad as me? Kind of like we all are....

I have another I need to post but ill wait a bit as I don't have the strength to even type it....

This is such craziness....

Thank you all for responding

Jackson I hope the results of your electrolytes came back normal?

Pleasebehere, I have the same problem with trying to eat and take a breath, it's very difficult to do and sometimes I cannot even force myself to eat because of it.  I get the tightness in my chest as well, my doctor thinks is it more muscular related; which makes since because our muscles and joints can hurt during withdrawals.  Fatigue, yes, I have that a lot as well.  The heart palps are the worst for me though because they are so darn scary to experience.  I can put up with the burning sensation, muscle/joint pain, headaches, nausea, anything else but the heart palps - they are so scary!  Hoping you get some relief soon!

Benzo gone..... Thank you so much for being more detailed with your experience... It makes me feel so much  better but not in the sense you would want anyone else to be suffering .... just not feeling alone....and yes I agree with you about the heart palps because it revs you up too...

I hope we all get breaks real soon also...
