I need help, tapering off 1mg of Klonopin

Help, I was prescribed 1 mg of Klonopin 12 years ago, after my daddy took his life, 3 months later, I lost my brother, then 2 neck surgeries from firefighting & saving lives. I have tapered to.75 a night, I thought I was a pretty tough cookie, but, icant lie, withdrawals are unbelievable, confusion, Brain fog, forgetfulness, anxious 24/7, insomnia! Thank you for you help! I am glad you found us today. The recommended reduction rate is 5 to 10 percent every two weeks. You do not say what rate you are reducing at. Stopping too rapidly can cause some pretty rough symptoms.

I'm cutting at a rate of 1/8 every 7 days, does that sound about right? Thank you for the reply and the links, I will read & digest them. I totally concur, I have heard over and over you can't go fast with benzodiazepines, I'm so ready to get off this crazy med.

Every 7 days of .125 is a bit fast imo. I had to slow down drastically after holding for around 2ish weeks on every dose. These last two drops, I've held for a month each and yeah, it's taking forever but I am able to function at an above average level. The trade-off was definitely worth it for me.
