Very low dose for 4 years. Should I C/T or taper?

Been taking .25Klonopin once a week (as needed) sometimes twice a week. Always at least 3 or 4 days apart. Stopped cold turkey. Been a month now. Only sys. stiff neck on ocasion. Tinitus. Slight memory problems. I'm 81. Light cramps in both feet. A little hyper sometimes. Its been a month now. Should I stick it out or will the syms get worse? So far its tolerable. If I did a taper how in the world would I know my starting amount? Any help would be apprecieated.    Edit- I meant .25 K not 2.5

Edit: Member requested that a clarification be made - this particular question is actually on behalf of a friend who is 81 years old; it is not regarding Goodchance.

If you are able to go days in between taking doses and your WD so far is tolerable then I don't see any reason to go back and taper. I did CT and at 11 months I still have a lot of problems. I wish it had been in any way tolerable for me. It sounds like you are doing pretty well. just stick with it.

Hi Goodchance,  I agree with Davis1. You have come this far and it sounds that you are coping with your withdrawal symptoms very well, they all seem pretty mild. I think you should continue to keep off the benzo. If however you encounter problems further down the line you might like to check on Professor Heather Ashton's manual for benzodiazepine withdrawal at www.benzo.org.uk/manual. Many here on bb believe it unwise to reinstate once you are beyond the 2 week mark but others have successfully reinstated albeit at a higher dose and managed to taper no problem. It just seems to be harder to do second time round. I think you are doing fine and I think there is every "good chance" that you are past the worst. Keep going.  Love, pris
