It's both. You are having normal anxiety about the chemical induced anxiety and symptoms, it's a vicious cycle. It's up to you to learn coping skills to help manage this throughout recovery. You need to replace all these negative thoughts your are having with positive ones. We become our thoughts.

 

Most people  use cognative behavioral therapy and mindfulness to cope.

My husband and I were talking about this on the way home from dr this afternoon.  We -- us benzo buddies were on tranquilizers slowed down -- drugged -- that's what they do.  They are gone so, of course, everything is returning to undrugged, revved up.  This anxiety will go away back to the way before benzos.
