Please remember that Barry is far from being a typical case.  he was prescribed a high dose of benzos, 30 mg Ativan daily, what happened to him was criminal.  He was also prescribed a lot of painkillers at the same time. It is not surprising he has never fully recovered.  But it shouldn't depress us here unless we have taken very high amounts of the drugs.

Interesting.  I was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease Myasthenia Gravis five years ago.  It's rare, occurring in only 14 of 100,000 people.  I'd like to know exactly how the writer knows that benzos caused his autoimmune disease.  Is he just guessing?  I wonder.  I have looked but have not found any studies that connect benzodiazepine use with the onset of an autoimmune disease.
