Buck,

You may want to take a look at the Four Phases of Withdrawal thread sticky-noted at the top of this board.

Just because you tapered doesn't mean you skip withdrawal.  Perhaps you have a softer landing into the Post Withdrawal Acute Phase, but most people don't avoid withdrawal simply because they tapered.  You will be okay with ups and downs along the road to recovery.  We all heal eventually.

I'm two months off and still drink what phase do you think I'm in?

I think you are in Acute Withdrawal.  It is the toughest phase.  Two wasn't all that great for me either.  I had no windows.  Three started to show some improvements.  I think I'm in Four now, but I need to yank one of my feet still stuck in Three.  Ugh.

Buck,

You will get a lot more support if you add your drug history signature.

Hi nhbuck28, most people on here tapered, I didn't I quit CT in rehab, it has really sucked for me. I am at 11 months and I would say my first two I was acute. I believe you are still in acute as well. I'm a big believer in you can do anything as long as you do it in moderation. Like one or two drinks, a lot of people here disagree with me. Everyone agrees that binge drinking (like you said in another post) is going to make it worse and probably drag it out for you. Maybe quit for a few months and see if you can get stabilized. eventually you should be able to drink again, just not in the short run.

Davis,

Yes, I am one of the people who strongly disagrees with you about drinking.  You need to understand what alcohol does to the GABA receptors, whether it is mild, moderate or binge drinking.  Everyone needs to walk his/her own separate journey, but he/she should do so with all the information that is available.

Buck,

If you type "alcohol" into the search box, you will get a lot of information and buddy posts.  Then you can decide what you want to do.  There is an addendum to the Ashton manual discouraging alcohol.  Baylissa Fredericks has spoken to Dr. Ashton many times about the subject, as well, and the consensus is DON'T DRINK.

I wish you luck with your decision and your withdrawal.  I've said enough.
