Slight return of symptoms after 9 months?? Possible??

Hi,

I haven't posted much here but I have read much information, learned a lot and have taken solace in kind words. 

 

I have been off of Valium for 9 months, I had horrendous symptoms throughout withdrawal so I took a looonng time tapering.  The first month off I had some symptoms but very mild then things were great.  I was a new person or my old self.  Felt great, doing lots of things I hadn't done in many years, truly enjoying myself with no thoughts of worry or fear.  It was amazing.

 

For the past couple of weeks it seems like some of the old symptoms are seeping back in but to a much milder degree.  Woke up feeling lightheaded one morning then it's been feeling slightly off balance, some split seconds of dizziness, worry and fear.  These were my main culprits throughout withdrawal but they definitely were much stronger then.

 

Could this really be from the benzo?  Otherwise, I feel good but with these reappearing I'm getting more fearful of going out, not as confident as I've been all summer.

 

Anyone with a similar experience?  or thoughts on this? 

Would really appreciate any input.

Unfortunately, setbacks are a part of this withdrawal.  And, as you said, they are milder.  Congrats on getting rid of the worry and fear!

Thanks for responding - it seems I hardly ever get responses! 🙁  I do hope this is part of withdrawal & will quickly go away!

 

This slight return of symptoms is so discouraging to me.  Today it's really shaken me and completely undermined my confidence.  Feel so down today.

 

Any more reassurances would be very welcome!😊
