16 months - leaps and bounds

Hi buddies , havnt been posting for ages just lurking in the shadows. I know now that im an extreme case , 3 months on just 2mg of V and it destroyed my life. After a 7 month taper i was pretty much bedridden for 9 months post jump. I cant even put into words the torture i went through.

At 12 months i finally felt the symptoms easing a bit . I was still symptomatic but back on my feet and the wife got pregnant so i pushed back to work before i was ready. Im a tradesman and the physical work i was pushing through was taking its toll.............then we lost the baby.

I was already heading for a crash from pushing too hard at work and the stress of what happened crushed me. I was angry / jaded and back to bedridden from physical exhaustion. I crashed hard and this threw me in a mega wave for 3 weeks.

Its been 2 weeks since the wave and i am better than ever. I i felt my strength coming back and have managed to exercise 4-5 times a week without major repocussions (20 minutes bike riding). I have been back on my feet for most of it, done a few days work and heaps of stuff around the house. I went to visit a few friends too and was genuinely happy to be there, not just struggling through.

I can feel every aspect of myself coming back for the first time since i jumped. Things are really looking up.

Hello Lockie my sweet pal!! :smitten::hug:

I'm so thankful you are getting some relief and seeing improvement! I too can relate to being an extreme case. Wow, what a journey huh? I'm almost 15 months out and dealing too with the very sore muscles (mainly my spine muscles, neck, hips and right knee). Also, I still have some congestion  (thank God not as severe as it was the fist 12 months). Mild mental sxs. Over all I can honestly say that I am no where near where I was even just a couple of months ago! Still struggling but definitely making progress!

Thank you for your update and stay strong hun! We are going to make it through this mess!! BIG

Hi Blessed , great to hear from you. We both have struggled through together since we were junior buddies! Muscle soreness seems to be the big one in the later stages of recovery from all i have read over the years.

The cogfog has nearly finally gone. I still get minor anxiety and feel lethargic at times but that nasty/scary fatigue is gone too.

When i look back and im left with 3 symptoms from hundreds i thank god the horror days are over! Hang in there Blessed , so glad you are seeing improvement too!

Have yoi heard from Becalm at all?

So happy for you dude! You've tasted the sweetness of the "other side" and it is awesome! Be good to yourself, celebrate every little thing in your life, and take it slow. Soon this will be a faded memory!

Couldn't be more happy for you.

Glad to hear you are doing well, sorry to hear about the loss of the baby. I hope that you are strong enough to give some support to your partner. I am feeling grateful that I am finally able to support my husband a little when he has given me so much!

Take care,

JKS
