For me it just depends, if I feel really horrible I usually just want to stay in because I am afraid I will feel worse. Thankfully, I have been blessed with wonderful friends and family who really try to,understand what I am going through and I haven't lost any friendships as so many people on here have posted about. Other times, if I only have certain symptoms I will try to go out and sometimes it really helps my state of mind, to get out and enjoy myself a little bit as much as I can.

Hope you are doing well.

Keep fighting - Jenny

Very good post I absolutely try to take this approach. Everyday I go to work and I look at work as a way to distract myself from my symptoms. I also started to increase my exercise and that has really helped a lot although sometimes it does rev upv my symptoms but I can feel myself becoming stronger and better conditioned. I have been enjoying football season by attending some games and while it's true I don't go to as many as I'd like but I do catch a gamer so per week. I do a very slow typer and I'm making progress it seems as the lower I get I can do just a little bit more. When I do feel down or I'm having lots of physical symptoms try to keep going and eventually it gets better I am looking forward to reading other positive post because when I do it encourages me as well best wishes everyone

Goals. When I first started, my goal was to get off of Klonopin. That wasn't enough for me and every day was literal hell. Now I make small goals every day/week, and two big ones for when it's over. Sometimes the goals will be smaller than others; I feel pretty bad today so my goals for the day are to meditate, go food shopping, and stay positive about this process. Tiny things for a bad day. But I'll do them, and tomorrow I will wake up knowing that I accomplished something even while feeling like crap.

It's making me stronger. Some days, my goals are like "jog 2 miles; go to the gym." Some days, they're like "manage anxiety, remember that this is temporary, don't overload on carbs when you feel horrible."

It's not much, but it keeps me going both physically and psychologically.

I try to be a glass half full not half empty person.

I have had some really bad days through my taper mainly around tinnitus and lack of sleep but not once have I been scared to go out, drive a car or talk to people or go for a walk. I have many days where I just don't feel like it but I can if I want to. Reading on here how some people are holed up and scared to go out etc makes me feel like I am not doing so bad and helps me push on as I want my old self back asap.
