Opinions Please . . (opiate w/d antagonizing preexisting benzo condition)

Almost four years ago I went through cold turkey off both opiates and benzos.  I was on a fairly small dose of opiate so the benzo withdrawal eclipsed that unpleasantness.  As far as any experiences I am familiar with opiate wd is the first maybe 36 hours.  I have never gone too far into full blown wd so I guess the later parts of opiate wd for me is uncharted territory.

Which brings me to my question.  I have undergone about a month of suboxone use to quickly get off oxycodone.  I wa lucky enough to stabilize on only .25 mg for a period of two weeks.  I know I will have a little nastiness to endure as I had a build up of bupe (suboxone) in my system.  I do go 48 - 72 hours in between doses here ans there as to not let the bupe build.  Has this process aggravated my most recent benzo wd that started, again, five months ago?

As I stated I have never been this far out in opiate wd.  It has been about five weeks so I know the worst is behind me.  There are a lot of similarities between opiate and benzo wd so I may be thinking I have rekindled the benzos.  At the end of the day it does not matter, I have my reasons and suspicions.

Any pros out there???

I think that any form of stress will affect gaba in some way.  So it makes sense

I've been taking some opiates occassionally to help deal with my constant mental symptoms. I've been under the impression that they act on different receptors and dont slow healing. They definitely don't affect gaba like benzos.

I ct opiates three years ago. I was taking a pretty high dose for a long time. You can also have post acute withdrawal syndrome from opiates. I think this is why I have been in such bad shape.

The combination of both wd and healing has been hell.

I have been off all meds for 13 months.

I am banking on time as the healer.

I do believe that opioid withdrawal definitely complicates the benzo withdrawal, as it is impossible to tell what's causing what symptoms. In my tapering of opiates last year, I had horrible withdrawals. I was tapered on bupenorphine and it was horrible. But at the end of that taper, my doc told me to just stop taking the benzo. New and coinciding set of horrible. Didn't know what was what.
