Took extra dose by mistake

This might be a dumb question but I'm currently tapering and I may have just taken an extra .5 mg. I've been sick the past couple of days and been sleeping a lot so I thought I had taken my daily dose but there was still a .5 in my pill cutter (where I keep my dry dose but it's possible I put it there after making my liquid suspension). Is that a big deal if I updosed by mistake just one time? Not like I can do anything about it now. Sorry I just obsess over every little thing especially now so I just want to make sure.

No man ! Absolutely NOT a problem !! You're doing just fine. The obsessing and worrying about every little thing and detail is normal when getting at lower doses I had it too with Valium. It was just getting insane, really worrying about anything. But no just continue your taper doing what you were doing. Just a small bump in the road. And that is if you actually did take the extra dose. I write it down on my computer each time I take my dose because I was having the same issue. Kept forgetting if I took it or not. You're doing great !

Thanks, I appreciate it. I realize I'm being a tad crazy but it's more the part that I can't remember if I even took it or not that is freaking me out. I might have to start writing it down too.

No problem. Not crazy. I had this problem when I wasn't taking benzo's during those 3 years off. Each time I took my AD Zoloft just a couple of seconds after putting it away I couldn't remember if I took it or not. Both my parents weren't going through any kind of withdrawal and they told me they had it too, my mom told me many times when she was still alive she would take 2 pills sometimes because she just forgot about taking one. I think it's more common and normal than we think. This is not benzo withdrawal, other people are getting it too. It becomes such a habit of taking medications and pills that you can't even remember taking them anymore. That's why I write everything I take down for the most part. I had to learn it the hard way. I would double up on my dose with Zoloft too many times. The fear and the worrying will disappear bro, I know all about worrying about the smallest and simplest little detail during withdrawal, it was just such stupid and trivial stuff that if I would go tell someone they would have probably laughed it off but it was REAL for me and I couldn't get it out of my head.    :idiot:

No big deal. Forget about it. I write it down in a journal. Also pre cut my pills and put in a separate pill bottle...for the day. The exact amount I'm allowed. This way I don't end up messing up which believe me I would. I even do this with my gabapentin, Remeron, Tylenol in case I need it. Otherwise I'd lose track a lot. Some people use a pill case. I used to until I spilt a glass of water all over it right after I'd filled it for the week. Wiped out all my meds for a week. Got it settled ok but now I use an old prescription bottle from the pharmacy. LOL waterproof. B
