Help! Severe memory loss

I pray a buddie has some direction for me.  I am currently tweeting very slowly from Xanax. Reduction of 5 percent of my total dose every two weeks.

 

I have had many, many stressors during thr tapering process and I also suffer from PTSD amongst a myriad of other panic disorder related matters.

 

 

I am so afraid as my memory - short and long term - has been drastically effected. I was on a high dose for only a short duration yet probably significant enough to create much havoc to my CNS. 

 

Needless to say, I can't recall events, people close to me - my children and their lives and I don't recall something as simple as my wedding day.

Your memories will return.  My fog was so bad at one point that I could not finish a sentence (I'd forget what I was going to say half-way through).  It made teaching way difficult.  It's all better now.

It's frustrating but it does get better. It really does so hang in there. You will heal in time so try not to dwell on it. I once totally forgot my home phone number. Had to check my iPad or phone for the date etc. But it's much better now. Still miss the odd thing...LOL...more than a lot but it's honestly much better. I just had to wait it out. B
