Guest [da...]
I know a lot of people here cut out gluten and MSG from their diet so I was thinking about trying that. However I've read that people that aren't intolerant and cut this out and then later on eat gluten again, may become gluten intolerant for real. Same with lactose in milk. Drink lactose free for a while if you are not intolerant and then drink normal milk again. Is there even any reason to cut gluten out if it doesn't give you any problems with the stomach? MSG I guess is a different thing. You cant be "MSG-intolerant", MSG is bad for everyone right? I mean added glutamate, not natural glutamate in small amounts. I've cut caffeine and sugar out and I eat organic as much as I can. Maybe that's enough.
[be...]
I personally was not intolerant to it. I lived on Chinese food the first couple of months of my withdrawal since there was no way I could go to the store to shop. With that said, I have seen many members here who are negatively affected. [fe...]
I haven't been bothered by anything, meaning various over the counter meds, sugar, or gluten. But Chinese food has always bothered me. I grt super revved up..
[Ba...]
But how much msg would you have to eat to actually have a reaction? This is very confusing to me too. I can understand a whole Chinese dinner but like small portions or tiny portions. Not sure if ketchup has msg (probably) but if I used a 1/4 tsp of it on a tiny bit of chicken, is that okay? Geez this is so confusing. How would you know if you got too much? Would you have like a panic attack or real high anxiety after you eat? :'(
