Leg issues

My left thigh is twitching off and on and also I can't seem to relax it either. It's not RLS, I've had that plenty throughout this withdrawal. It's really hard to explain. I guess it just seems like my leg is tense. Anyone had anything similar? Thanks much for any help.

Hey Benzocrazy,

Yeah this has happened to me sporadically over the past few months and was out of control the first few months. The tension in my thighs and calves used to give me these insidious cramps all the time but thankfully that largely went away. Now there only seems to be this weird, involuntary twitch that occurs every week and a half or so with diminishing frequency. But when it happens, I'll just stare at my thigh and try to contract my muscle or something. And well, that just makes it worse. I've learned to just let my body do whatever the heck it thinks it's doing and move on. I stretch a lot more now though and it seems to have helped. I think, in my case, a lot of it has to do with the time that's passed. Oh, be sure to drink water- that can't hurt. Hope that helps.

Hey Nonsense Jones,

Thank you for your reply. Yeah it's really uncomfortable, but like you said, I just need to let my body do what its going to do. Thanks again for such a fast reply. Hope you continue to make lots of progress.

I had severe leg twitching......facial muscle twitches........arm twitches. My whole dam body was twitching. Not cool....or fun. Scary at the time. Think of it as you central nervous system is resetting itself. It takes a while to recalibrate. But it does go back to normal. Then the twitches will be no more.
