Tinnitus Waxing and Waning, No Rhyme or reason, anyone else?

My only symptom is tinnitus since getting down low in dosage on this taper.  It seems if I go to fast I get the T bad a few days later, but if I hold for a few days, I still get it a few days later.  There seems to be no rhyme or reason.  I didn't take my supplements yesterday (Gingko, Chamomile tea, Magnesium, fish oil, CoQ10) and wonder if that could have played a part.  I do get a little itchy when the T is bad, nothing major, but seems to coincide. 

 

I developed T when I went CT for 8 days and has gotten better since I reinstated, but never gone.  Very concerned as many people have said T is last to go and sometimes permanent.  Having played in a very loud rock band for many years I would assume my hearing is damaged, but never had problems until now.  The T is annoying not debilitating, but much better when I'm out and around people.  It's when I'm alone at home, and things are quiet, the whistling kettle plays it's symphony for me.

It's my main w/d symptom. Everything else comes and goes but the tinnitus is eternal. I was hoping it would end as I stabilize and was gonna use it as my stabilization benchmark, but that doesn't seem to look like it's gonna happen.

Mine gets louder and softer depending on how my other sxs are.  If I am feeling pretty good, the tinnitus is pretty low but if I am in a wave it is usually pretty high.

I got tinnitus from a fast taper, dr told me to go from .5 k to .25 for a week then .25 every other day for a week then stop.

Managed about  5 days of first week and got real bad tinnitus and other w/d things and had to reinstate.

tinnitus goes up and down depending where I am in my cut cycle, strange thing is though Its been relatively quiet for the last couple of days (Last night going to sleep was magic) and from history it should be louder, I am now at 0.195mg of k starting at 0.5mg so I can only hope it will get better as I go lower, I wont hang my hat on that though so as not to be really Peed off if it comes raging back.

Fortunately you weren't on a high dose and you weren't on a long time.  Go slow and you will be off soon, from everything I've gathered, you will be fine with the Tinnitus, it might just take some time.  Good luck!
