[Ix...]
Has anyone experienced hair loss through this process? My hair has been falling out from the root and is also brittle with breakage anywhere along the hair. Is there any ideas or experience that can help? I started taper from 3 mgs Xanax in June 2015. Finally went to detox in June 2016. CT now 60 days benzo free. Any hair help?
[me...]
Temporary hair loss is pretty common, I've seen many posts about it in the 4 years I've been here, and in just about all cases the hair grows back, sometimes even thicker than before. I went though this when I was several months off, started looking at wigs, etc, but within a few months started to see the beginnings of regrowth. My hair returned to normal eventually. [Po...]
I lost hair at the beginning (Nov). It is now growing back in. In one spot it is thicker than the rest. I suppose that is where I had the most damage from sleeping on it. I did get some hair pieces (pony tails, curls,) so I could just pull the hair back into a ponytail and clip it in. Helpful even now for those days I feel poorly, which is most of the time.

[Ce...]
I'm losing hair on the top of my head! It's not obvious right now, but if it keeps falling out, it won't be long. Good grief! Seems this affliction affects every little thing!
Guest [We...]
Yes, I keep losing hair as well. Although I don't know whether it's from benzo use or genes, or maybe both.
[be...]
The first time I did a CT detox my hair feel out for about 5 months. I dreaded shampooing and combing it. It feel out in clumps. I was fortunate that I started with very thick hair. Still it was devastating to me at the time. It would all grow back. This is not uncommon in withdrawal. I have seen members here where even the texture of their hair changed. This topic comes up from time to time. What I see around here is that other members who lost their hair in early withdrawal had the same success as me. It came back.

I really was starting to worry about this. It's bad enough it's affecting my skin, nails and teeth! At least I can look forward to my hair growing back in. [Ch...]
Yes, there was always a lot of hair in the brush and shower drain, but it came back fairly quickly.
