[ho...]
Hi All, I was doing petty well on 2 mg of diazepam daily, with occasional ups and down for about 2 months. So, I decided to cut and ofur months later it has been betwwen 1.5 and 2 mg of pure hell. So, I went back to 2 mg and that didn't go well for a month, so I tried to stabilize at 3mg and its been about a week and I still feel weird. Why am I going backwards? My symptoms: Sweating and weird feeling in my head almost like tickling/mild pressure and a feeling of tingles in my tongue, metallic taste, and just a feeling of light dizziness. My plan was to stabilize on 3 mg, and then switch to a liquid micro taper, as I am currently doing cry cuts. I am on Day 7 of 3 mg, and I still have those symptoms almost everyday, around the same time as well for about 2-3 hours. What should I do next? Will i ever stabilize? I need to function and go to work so I dont want to go into shock. My biggest issue is, every time I get that tastd in my mouth (metallicish) I get the tingle son my tongue and I get mildly dizzy and I start thinking I will have a seizure, which does not help the situation since I get more anxious.I am really scared of having a seizure, although I never had one. Am I at a big risk, even thought I taper slowly? and what should my next steps be? HondaSport16
[be...]
You are an EXTREMELY low risk so a seizure. So low I would not even worry about. When seen they are typically when stopping a large dose suddenly and even then they are pretty rare. You are on a very low dose. All of the symptoms you describe are fairly common, especially the metallic taste and dizziness.
[ho...]
Hello, Thank you for getting back to me. It is very nice to have someone with experience tell me this. I think I am aware that seizures are very low risk since I am on a low dose and tapering, but the irrational thoughts start to kick in. Anyway, thank you for letting me know. I am on day 8 of 3 MG attempt at stabilizing and day 2 of dissolving the 3 mg in water and drinking half in the morning and half at night (3mg), and plan to start the liquid micro tapers when I stabilize in about 4-5 weeks. I figured I would start switching to water without tapering while I stabilize so I can get used to both for when the cuts come again. Does anyone know the cause of the metallic taste? does it go away, ti's my worst symptom thus far. Thankfully, I am still able go to work, ride the subway and things like that, but I would be lying if I told you that I don't freak out at work sometime over the littlest things and I start checking to see if my pupils dilate, etc.? I am hoping this gets better with the liquid micro taper.
