Hi,

Do you find yourselves comparing  with others and other lives all the time all days?

It gives me all the negatives and watching tv or looking at Facebook makes it worse....

Yes absolutely. I SHUT my fb down for about 6 months. It does my head in during the best of times. No point obsessing over other peoples lives when you have yours to live.

I am comparing myself even with younger people and then I am jealous....regrets.....

Shoulda, coulda, woulda thing.....

My brain keeps telling me things....you will get depressed without having a new boyfriend, but how will I find one in this condition??? First I must feel better then...can't win!!!

I feel the same way. I won't read them.  I was on a small dose for only 16 weeks.  Maybe because

I am much older the symptoms are terrible.  Sometimes I am tempted to go back on Valium.  Jumped three weeks ago.  Take care,  Tina

Hey, I understand where you're coming from.. and I know the following is easier said then done, but "a sure way to get miserable is to compare ourselves with other people".. I have to work at this.. and of course I get the "shoulda, woulda, coulda's.."  It's kind of like indulging in self pity, which just takes us out of the game.  I'm sure we all know the right answer, which I think is, "just be grateful for the things we do have.."  (even if it's a 5th grade cognition level! : )  ugh..  - Eric

I thought I was the only person who disliked all the success stories. Why don't they go post in the success stories topic instead of the other ones. I feel envious of almost everybody these days especially people who say it is three months and they feel great. Also everyone who is not suffering. I hope these thought will go away sometimes soon.

Success story just remind me that you are not one of them as of now. You are still the prisoner. Makes me really sad.

Can not stand the one complaining trivial symptoms and insensitive to people really suffering.

I hate facebook, so thats not my problem. But I have neighbors, friends, and thats enough sometimes.

We have to much time, no job, sitting around, wondering, thats not good.

I know that you cannot know what problems the others are fighting but very often I am wistful when I see the neighbors going for work or laughing while going out together or I think I would like to have so much money that I can make holidays like they do..

Looking at all the happy people on FB is hard, especially when going through this but who knows what they are going through.  No one on FB ever posts unhappy pics.  Soon we will be there too with the happy pics.....this is just a bump in the road.  We will get there.  Think of all the people who originally were on this site and how great they are doing now like Colin.
