Withdrawal symptoms with tiniest taper???

[wi...]

Recommended Posts

Is it even possible to feel ONE tiny notch down on a one ml syringe?? That certainly seems the case with me. I'm trying to continue down after holding at .9 ml for about 6 weeks, just one "notch" every 5 or 6 days (so 2 notches now) and my body and brain are NOT pleased. Incredible dizziness and severe fatigue seem to be alternating back and forth. Should I go even slower, or just try to power through??

Thanks for any advice!

Well, what we need to know is how many mgs is "one notch down"?

We need to know the strength, or concentration, of your liquid.  How many mgs Ativan per milliliter of liquid?

Yes of course, that would obviously be helpful!

I started with 2 1 ml. doses a day at .25 mgs per dose. After holding for a while, I'm trying to proceed on down from .9 ml, one notch at a time every 5 or 6 days. I've only gone "2 notches" but I'm very symptomatic!

Thanks for your help, Builder!

if I am following you - you have your dose in 1ml syringe - and then cutting 10% per day? If thats the case - yes for sure you will feel it. Way too concentrated and fast... for perspective I did 10% per month / month and a half.

Oh no, I'm just tapering one tiny notch every 5-6 days. It's .01 ml I think? So I think it's about 5-6% per month if I understand it correctly. But I'm having some pretty significant symptoms, and I'm not sure whether to stay the course or slow down even more.

When I first started liquid titration in May I did 10% in 10 days which was WAY to fast!!! I managed to hold that cut and symptoms finally abated, and I've have tried to start tapering again this month at a MUCH slower rate.

I am not an expert, but what I know about it... you're taking it in syringe which means that your dosage is concentrated, every little ml is going to be felt by your body since it is very potent. though again, this is only my opinion. next thing, once again can't be sure if this is true or not, but I am just thinking that it could be an placebo effect, what I am trying to say is that you know that when getting down on dosages, normally, your body should feel some changes. your logic tells you that it is near to impossible that you would have some withdrawals from such a slow taper, but somewhere subconsciously you know that this is how happens, so, in fact, it is not your body that feels that way, but your brain transmits such kind of signals. so it is either because you're tapering down from a concentrated dose, or it is only in your brain.

Per Builders note above - to help you should share your mg of A per milliliter.  Explain what your doing to make your liquid.

If your getting symptoms that you can't tolerate - your going too fast regardless of your mix. Hold and slow down.. better to take a long time and feel well vs suffer badly and then have it continue long after your done.

Builder, Crash created this formula for me which I started in May. I'm holding at .9 ml which I think is approx .22 mgs 2x daily.

"Are you taking .25 twice a day for a total of .5?

If so, make a 30-day supply by mixing 15 mg with 15 ml of vodka or PG. Add water to make it 60 ml total.

Start with 1 ml doses twice a day. This gives you .5 mg per day.

Reduce 1%, or .01 ml on the syringe, every 4 days. That will be a very slow taper. Speed up or slow down as needed."

You'll see that it's been suggested on this thread for me to hold the Ativan and switch to tapering off the Ambien which may eventually make tapering off Ativan easier. Any thoughts or suggestions at this point are much appreciated!

Thanks! :)
