[...]
I have bern observing a lot of signatures lately. And if i sm not mistaken, most of short termers recover. A lot of them turn corner around 6- 8 month mark. So far i have not seen any short users not recovring. What do you guys think?

[Da...]
I think everyone eventually gets better, I'm still hoping I recover soon. Be more specific about short term. How long were you on it and when did you stop.
[...]
Short term meaning less than a 6 month. I used for 3 month. This does not mean long term users do not heal. They do.
[Da...]
I am hoping at least that everyone heals eventually. I don't know all the info I have is from people on this website and my psychiatrist that has worked with other people in benao withdrawal. Does it more time for short term users versus long term users, maybe. I hope we all feel a lot better at some point.
[bc...]
I used for four months. In 26 month of recovery. Doesn't seem to be any correlation between use and recovery.
[Ch...]
In general, and generalities are all that can be made in this process as far as recovery timelines, you're right...short term users tend to recover faster than longterm users because the nervous system is changed over time... more exposure, more changes to the nervous system (again, in general). But a long term user could heal faster than a short term user in some cases. Some people are hit harder and faster and don't recover as fast as others. But the general trend for nearly all people is towards healing.

Do you know of any that have not healed? ~CeCe

[bl...]
Hello my fellow BB warriors! If I may, I'd like to share with you all, I have a sister whom CT'd off xanax THREE different times. She was taken .5 (They were the yellow pill) two times daily for 2 years. Thru my journey she has shared with me that she too experienced well over 100+ sxs. Each time that she CT'd, she healed at or around the 15th month. She has also told me that she will not ever touch another benzo. I agree, because neither will I. She is well and lives her life without hesitation! She has been healed for a few years. As we all know this is a tough journey no doubt about it, but I wanted to share and give some hope and reassurance to everyone walking this journey... we ALL DO heal! This process is slow as cold molasses.... but either way...we ALL heal in time! Please stay strong!! We are stronger then we really know and we are getting better every single day whether we "feel" like it or not! Some day ALL of these sxs will just disappear... like snapping of fingers... please believe it...because it is true!! Love you all lots!! [Ce...]
Thanks blessed! I really gotta keep reminding myself that I will get through this and be stronger after this terrifying storm passes. Tell myself, it's temporary and not worry about a time frame. Thank you, again for your kindness and understanding. Kudos to your sister, that's a great success story! Hope you are well. ~CeCe
[sa...]
I looked at a chart on various drug withdrawals. It seems unfair that even alcohol and street drugs have much shorter withdrawal periods, and those are the people whose problems get recognized and often get help. Benzos have the longest recovery period among all drugs, and most of us never abused it, just took what doctors prescribed. Most doctors still dismiss withdrawal symptoms that last more than a few weeks and just insist more pills to treat symptoms. I think people would be more careful if they knew their pills are harder to quit than other drugs. I do believe everyone will recover. I've read stories of people taking high dose benzo for 20 years and recovered.
