Mornings!!!

[Ta...]

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone.

I find the mornings the worse at the moment.

I can feel the toxic symptoms invading my body during the night.

Does anyone know why this happens?

How long did it take for other people to have this horrible morning feeling to go away?

(Does it go away????????????????)

I wouldn't say the rest of the day is great but a bit more manageable than

the mornings.

Love to hear from people further ahead.

I struggle in the AM as well.  I am 51/2 months off and my mornings have been better this week.  I hope I've turned a good corner.

Oh yeah!

Mornings have been the worst for me from the beginning of the entire withdrawal. I wake up and game over. Can't go back to sleep. Toxic symptoms invade. I just get up and start the day. Distraction is the key for pushing through this mess. I usually start feeling better by mid morning and by late afternoon and evening much better. Here lately though, have been having much improvement, mornings are starting to get better, less symptoms and sleep improving. I am almost at the 6th month mark.

Thats weird. I never had problems in the morning, besides the fact that nights without sleep make you feel like a zombie.

I have that problem in the late night, before sleep comes.

hope you will be better soon!

My mornings are not exactly mornings now that I sleep in the daytime and stay awake all night. But there is a dread to even get out of bed and face another groundhog day with this crap. Once I get up and try to figure out what I need to accomplish that day, which I rarely accomplish anyway. I'm hoping that changes I would love to have a day where I get things done. I guess it takes time for us.

Morning have changed in complexion for me as time has gone on. I used to wake up to dread and panic and intrusive feelings, now I wake up to exhaustion and mental darkness. I believe that because I'm still on Remeron, that this has more to do with it than anything else. I spend several hours in a hangover state until it finally lifts and I can go about my day.

For me the mornings have always been bad.

They seem to have gotten a bit better lately. I used to wake up very tense which i don't anymore.

I still have other bad feelings in the morning that seem to lessen a while after i get up.

It's only been a week and a half since i've stopped my last mg. of valium except for the huge rescue dose i took yesterday.

It doesn't seem to have done much harm tough since my feelings are the same as before.

Thanks to everyone who replied to my post.

It looks like mornings are a concern to a few people.  It's good to hear that things do improve

over time.  I suppose when I think about it the first part of this journey was dread every second of the day and now that I'm four months out things have eased up.

Healing from this poison is definitely not straight forward as we all know.

We really have to earn our WELLNESS certificate.

I pray we all eventually pass with high distinctions.

Please stay strong everyone.

Yes mornings are the worst, but the symptoms slowly let go and get less and less. Your body and mind will slowly calm.

Yes, mornings are definitely the worst for me. I also wake up with the adrenaline surges and a lot of anxiety. It is also when I get the worst foot cramps. It is a rude awakening for sure. I am glad to read that these sxs will pass. I know it doesn't seem like they will right now but so many BB's have come back to comfort us and tell us that they healed and we will, too.
