[NJ...]
I am taking remeron to help with withdrawal symptoms, and it has worked well. For the past week I have had very bad nausea, which has stopped me from completing previous tapers. On Friday night I upped dosage of remeron from 7.5 mg to 7.5 mg plus a half tablet, for 11.25 mg. The nausea was gone on Saturday. Last night I took my usual dose of 7.5 and again have nausea. So I guess I will up my dose at least for now (my doctor doesn't care; he wants me on 30 mg). Has anyone else upped dosage on remeron to help with increasing symptoms? Does this work for the long term? I am worried that long term this might not work, and I am still high up in dosage and have a very long way to go. I have a cut planned today I am going ahead with, and don't plan to cut again until late August after vacation. Any help/advice would be appreciated. I feel like I am losing it. I need this taper to work. I am not concerned now about having to taper remeron,I just need to get the klonopin out of my system some way.
[Pi...]
If that 11.25 works for you I would stay there. I was prescribed 30mg too but I started at 3.75 and found sweet spot at 5 mg. I even thought would try 7.5 but I actually got better sleep with the lower dose. I think everyone's body is going to be different. If that dosage works for you, I wouldn't be afraid of 11.25 but to answer your question. Yes, I have had to increase my dose. From 3.75 to 5 mg. [fe...]
Remeron really helped me after my cold turkey from klon for 25 yrs. It helped so much with sleep issues and anxiety. When u increase above 15 mg it can cause excitability. I stayed at 15 mg.
[NJ...]
Thank you both for your responses. I hate to updose but I also know if I am constantly nauseous I will never be rid of the klonopin. The remeron leaves me so tired but I will just need to try to go to bed earlier!
