Books on benzos

[Ch...]

Recommended Posts

I am sure I have seen this somewhere on Benzobuddies, so apologies in advance if I am clogging up the forum with an unnecessary posts.

However I am looking for a good book on benzo withdrawal, which would need to be available for Kindle or failing that, in audio book form.

I downloaded the top search result for benzos on Amazon, "Walking through the valley of Benzo hell" by Jonathan Behler, but while it is of some interest, especially in his sharing of his struggles with anxiety, I am looking for something more comprehensive.

Any recommendations?

Klonopin Withdrawal and Howling Dogs

Death Grip

The Benzo Book

These were my favorites. I have yet to read one that really accurately portrays my own situation though which is part of the reason why I really want to write my own.

Thanks. I went for the Benzo Book.

A benzo horror movie? That's a thought. I feel we are in one at the moment  and I give it 0/10. No stars. Straight to DVD.

Death Grip by Matt Samet, (no he didn't  die, he describes though how benzos nearly killed him)

And i bought another book called '"Recovery and Renewal'' by Baylissa Frederick, looks promissing

I was just looking at this list of benzo books.  There's a lot here:  http://benzo.org.uk/bzbz.htm

Wow -- That's an impressive list!

(Thank you for linking it!)

I have Baylissa Frederic's, Recovery and Renewal, and really like the author's positive tone.  It's what I reach for when I get discouraged.

I've not read Death Grip, but I've read Matt Samet's writings on the Net and have watched his youtubes.  Very good writer.  Smart guy.  Seems very real and likable.

I really liked that book. I read The Benzo Book before I knew anything really about benzos and it scared me to no end.

Hello buddies, just stopping by to thank everyone for the wonderful resources here!

BG, what was the scarry part about that book? Just curious.

This was years ago, when I was not functioning well. I think the entire book scared me but the end. What made me nervous was that he had a lot of help and I do not.
