[mi...]
I have been on 1mg Valium for the last month and my physical symptoms will not go away. Should I just jump, and let the final healing process begin? The 1mg I take seems to cause more pain than do anything good.
[be...]
Others might not agree but I'd just jump. Valium causes me more grief than the withdrawal itself I think. So when I'm even close to 1 mg I'm jumping. Upping my cuts as much as I can tolerate too. Remember the guidelines are just that. You may very well be able to jump with a fantastic result. Everybody's different but most importantly if you tell yourself it's no big deal and don't stress over it you've won half the battle assuming there even is a battle. Good luck. [Am...]
If it were me I would. It all depends on you though. You will probably still have some withdrawals but 1mg isnt too bad. I was on a lot more than that when I did CT. Not recommending that though!
[sk...]
Hold on... OP, your sig shows you at 9mg. Are you taking 9mg, or 1mg? I know the feeling of being 'ready to jump' as I wanted to jump at 7mg, but was talked off that ledge, and thank goodness i was... If you're at 9mg, and just testing the waters, be super careful. HOWEVER! If you're at 1mg, and feeling great... Why not? Your body could be telling you something... If you're ready, jump. We are all here ready to talk, chat, pm, stand on our heads if needed... We'll be here for ya. We also wanna hear how you did on your jump... Best wishes, and we'll be praying for ya!

But good for you miriedl, as you have improved by tons. I am so proud of you! I am a wuss and I plan to jump as close to 0 as possible. It served me well when I finished my K taper. Mine was a non event. But you do what you feel is best. Betsy
[mi...]
Thank you for your kind replies. Sorry i haven't updated my schedule. I am currently at 1mg, and i'll try to jump tomorrow. I'll let you know in a week how it goes. So long.
[mi...]
Well today is the day i've been kind of both looking forward to an dreading for the last couple of years. I took my last 1 mg yesterday morning. I guess it's far too early to tell what it will be like, but it's scary because you are kind of on a constant alert. I'll let you know in a couple of days. Any encouragement now would be welcomed ;-)

[mi...]
60 hours have passed which should be about the half life period. Pain in chest and burning feet and legs, but so far no anxiety which I think is the thing I want least. Praying it won't get much worse. Many people say day 3 and 4 are the worst. We'll see. Don't borrow trouble from tomorrow. Tomorrow could be anti-climatic. Stand tall! You've made it this far. You're doing fantastic. The sensations you are feeling now are normal, and your brain is begging for benzo's. Tell it no. Make it understand it doesn't need them. Will it be easy, maybe... Maybe not. A bunch of folks lately are saying the 'jump' is a non event to them. Maybe it'll be a non-event for you too. You're rocking this out! Keep up the good work, and stand tall! You've got this! [mi...]
Hi, I'm now on my fifth day - Yesterday was really bad. Tonight has been OK, but i'm scared of today. They say the withdrawals come in waves, so i'm hoping for some relief. I've managed to stay away from escape pills because i have a feeling that will only prolong the agony. It felt like my whole body was numb and burning. Praying for a better day.
[mi...]
I have read through a lot of posts and one thing seems to answer the same question but not on the final cut. Will day 4 and 5 still be the worst days, or will it prolong on the final cut. I know we are all different, but it would be interesting and reassuring to hear from somebody that it will slowly improve after these days. I know it will still go in waves, but will it get even worse than day 4 and 5 ? Hope someone will shed some light. Thank you.
[sk...]
Some folks say after jumping the acute phase could last up to a month or less... however, there's a buddie on here, several, but one I wanna point out... timber1. That buddie jumped and has felt better everyday. Look at timbers posts as of recent. Staying positive and keeping motivated, their jump was good and has reported back literally feeling better than on this poison. You're doing such a fantastic job miriedl! I know it's hard at times, but you're now able to start the final healing. You are at the place we are all striving for. Stand tall! It may not feel like it yet, but you've slated the dragon! You've done it! You beat it. Stay away from the horror stories. They don't always apply to everyone. Take a second and look back, look at what you've done, and how far you've come. You are now an inspiration for everyone here. We all want to get to where your at! Is it rough, probably. Will it get better? YOURE DAMN RIGHT IT WILL!!! Remember you're not dealing with "lag" anymore. There's nothing left to catch up with other than the full elimination of the benzo. This might take a tad longer than the cut lag, but you've done it. Now you can finish healing. I'm so jealous of where you're at it's not even funny. Awesome job! It may not feel like an awesome job for you yet, but when you have that (ah ha) moment, it'll all be so worth it! Stand tall!
[mi...]
I don't know if i can cope with these withdrawals for a whole month if they are on the same level all the time, but they seem to come in waves. If i get some breaks in between i think i will be fine. Aslong as it doesn't get worse and worse :-(
[sk...]
Just looking at the some of the recent folks who've jumped, it seems that they are doing good. Maybe have temp waves, but overall, they are doing good. It'll probably be more like waves that come and go, but they'll come farther and farther apart, and less severe... from what other's are saying. Your body needs time to heal. You've come such a long ways from where you were. Take a look back, gather your breath, and say 'I did it!'. You've done a fantastic job! Things will get better, and much easier. [mi...]
Just a little update for those of you who are interested I am now on day 5 since i took the last dose (wednesday morning 1mg) Today has been rather tough, but mainly physical stuff so far. I think it is easier to handle the physical stuff as long as i am not getting a panic attack. Today i have the feeling that my feet and legs are on fire. Those of you who have experienced this know exactly what i feel, and it's horrible. The last hour it has eased up a bit, so i'm hoping for a better evening and better days ahead. Unfortunately i have read a lot of horror stories today which is not doing any good. I will keep away from all sites except from this one from now on. It only makes things worse. Some say day 4 and 5 are the worst (and today has been rather horrible), so i'm hoping for some relief tomorrow. Many sites i have read say that week two is the worst. I hope this is not the case for me. I'm not a very religious person, but i'm praying silently today. Thanks for listening. I'll be back in a couple of days. AND I AM NOT TAKING ANY RESCUE DOSES.
