Is insomnia normal

I'm four days off of clonazapam and I'm really struggling with insomnia the most out of everything. Does this let up? Am I going to get better? I didn't sleep for 3 days. Doctor has me on 10 mg of belsomra and 1 Benadryl if all else fails. I noticed my anxiety is way worse, and once I don't sleep well it's hard to get it back on track again. I'm wondering how much of this is actually the withdrawal or if it's my anxiety.

Brutal insomnia is possibly the most vicious benzo WD symptom of all, for so many of us. Every time I think the insomnia is letting up, it creeps back and takes a huge bite out of my progress.

~BUT~  I have to remind myself that it really was worse before I jumped, and lately there have been more nights with several hours of sleep, and more nights when I can fall back asleep.

You are only four days off, Prolove, so you will probably begin to get periods of sleep soon - I think my improvements started after the first 7 days.

As Leslie said, very normal.  Anxiety and insomnia are the top two withdrawal symptoms.  Even people who otherwise get off a benzodiazepine relatively easily, they usually have these two symptoms for a little while.
