Guest [...]
Hey All, I was wondering if anyone was successful in switching from Valium Tablets to the Valium liquid. I am talking about the liquid you can get a regular pharmacy with a prescription and Not a compounded or homemade liquid. See my signature below, but I am down to 5mg of Diazepam 2 times a day, so 10mg daily and I plan on holding here for the next 2 weeks as I am feeling pretty sick. so I read that many people do better with a liquid tapper when they get lower. My doctor will write me a prescription for liquid if I want one but I have no idea how to do a liquid tapper ? So looking
[sk...]
I switched to liquid Valium. Same stuff as the tablets as long as it's a solution and not a suspension. I've had zero issues with it.

[be...]
I plan to do a dry MT of my Valium when I get low in my dose. It worked so well with my K, that I think that's the way to go for me. I don't trust the liquid......
[...]
Hi KHM, I just start my cross from K to Valium last night. Prescribed a generic liquid where 1 mg = 1 ml. As far as dispensing, it’s easy to use. The pharmacy provides both a 10 ml syringe and 1 ml syringe to dispense it. You’d use the 10 ml syringe for quantities like 8.5 ml (8.5 mg) and the 1 ml for quantities like .44 ml (0.44 mg) when you need the accuracy for daily tapers. My bottle came with an adapter in the top that accepts the syringe and lets you flip the bottle upside down so you don't get air bubbles filling the syringe. I believe the brand name valium is similarly available. I have no experience with the pills. Koff
[sk...]
Eh, the liquid is fine. I'd think it was actually better. Get super accurate doses, and can even microtaper with much less math, no scales, and make it easier on yourself. I was splitting 5mg tablets to get 2.5mg when I was taking 7.5mg, and could never get the tablets the same size, and, for me anyways, I didn't want to obsess about weight, and scales, and all that jazz. I know it works for a great majority of people, but for me, I just wanted to keep it simple. When I switched to the liquid, I tried a .5mg cut just to see what happened... Well, that was on the 1st, and i've literally only felt better. I had 1, i guess off day, on day 3, but nothing but perfection since. I'm going to cut a full 1mg tonight, and ride that out, and see how it feels. I'm guessing on day 3-5 I'll have some sort of sxs's, but i'm sure those will fade the closer I get to being off this crap.
Guest [...]
thanks everyone, I am going to ask my Pdoc for the liquid V, during my next appointment. Does anyone have a link for a daily liquid micro taper schedule ? I am hoping to be at a V dosage of 4mg AM and 4mg PM when I switch to liquid. Why don't you ask in the titration or micro taper boards?
