Need reassurance, 15 days in, getting worse

I am 15 or so days into my taper. It's a bit of a big one, I don't want to walk it back. Was experiencing interdose w/d before I started this anyway, only solution is to get off the xanax.

 

As a note, per all I have learned here, I need to hold and not decrease until I stabilize, which has not happened yet.

 

Anyway, the rebounds are hitting faster, and much harder the further I go. The doses never do all that, but like a clock, @ 3 hours in a get a very amped up rebound. It usually is severe. These episodes are horrible, vestibular and  very heightened w/d symptoms.

 

At 3 hours 21 minutes now, frightened, discouraged, need input from the community regarding this.

Hope you are holding on. This is such a horrible phase that you are experiencing, and was one of the most difficult for me when starting out.

 

You are making progress though, and your progress will build - just try to keep in mind the shimmering goal of being free of benzos forever.

Yes, very typical.

 

If you are really stuck, check with someone in a Xanax Club thread about whether to rough it out and try to stabilize, or if you need to back up a tiny bit.

Dear Badlove,

 

I am feeling the same. We will be fine - another storm we can battle and we will succeed. I wish my doctor informed me of the inherent risks of this very toxic drug.
