W/d symptoms right before pm dose

I'm fully on valium.  Woo hoo! I have been having trouble with being super sleepy so I've been adjusting my dose. I'm taking 1.25 split up into 2 doses and I noticed I get really irritable and ancy with a bad headache the hour before my pm dose at 7. Is this normal?  Should I take my dose earlier or did I cut too quick?  I was feeling super drugged Saturday night so I cut my dose again by .625. It was a big cut I know but my pills just fall apart into crumbs and even with my scale,  It's hard to do smaller cuts. I thought about just crushing the pill and weighing the powder and going up a bit tomorrow. Anyone do this?
