[Am...]
Well there is no going back now. I still feel bad, physically I am only able to sleep about 4-5 hrs at night before I wake up needing my MM again for the constant nausea and stomach pains. Mentally I feel better I just wish I could get hold of these physical symptoms very soon! It's hard to get out of the house and do anything at all, plus it's so damn hot here and humid I can't stand it. Anyone have an acute withdrawal lasting longer than 2 weeks? Guest [ba...]
I'd say that my acute phase took a month. Then there were two more lousy months (but better than the first). Then the worst of my physical symptoms was mostly over (except for the insomnia). Yeah, it's sure gotten hot! Mid-100s forecast here on Friday. Upper 100s this weekend. At least it's dry heat, so 108 only feels like 104.
[ba...]
It took me 3 months before I could even get up. It got worse after a month, I was having psychotic episodes, and I never slept more than 30 minutes at a time. I had to stop. Just my experience, sounds like your C/T is not the pure insanity mine was. I had not yet discovered cannabinoids, I suspect it is really helping your symptoms. If you start having seizures, you have stressed your body and brain to much, just be aware.
[Da...]
Hey Amberfire. I hope you're feeling better. C/T is really tough. I think you're probably past the very worst of it. I couldn't really tell you how long my acute period lasted because I can't say that there was a distinct transition. I always thought that mine lasted for over a month but the worst of it was the first three weeks. I can't remember because detox really affected my perception of how I remember time. Like I said, my worst days were the second and third weeks. It was still pretty bad after that but it slowly improved. I think by the fifth week I stopped having the weird hallucinations. I was hearing eerie, strange music and seeing graphic, cartoonish images when I closed my eyes. The vivid images still lingered for a few more months but they weren't that bothersome. I was back to work by the sixth week. I wasn't very productive but I didn't have a choice since my detox doc said I was cured. The insurance company actually decided that I was cured and wouldn't pay for more time in rehab. If the insurance company had agreed to pay for more time, the doctors would have said I wasn't cured yet. It's all a scam.
