[km...]
curious whether people believe that the interdose withdrawal people experience on shorter half-life benzos such as temazepam or others improves as you get to the end of a taper. i realize overall withdrawal might get tougher but i am hoping to see some improvement in the symptoms i experience in the afternoon each day as i only take doses at night. it would seem to me that the interdose withdrawal would improve as you stabilize on smaller doses. any opinions? [me...]
kmerckx--if I recall, yes it did improve somewhat. But what I did was save a bit of my dosage to take during the day when I started feeling "palpy" and "zingy". A small dose helped tremendously with interdose withdrawal, but wasn't enough to sedate me.
[km...]
interesting you use the word zingy. i get skin sensations like zings, tingling, electric shocks, itching etc. i didn't know for years that it was interdose withdrawal. is that the kind of thing you got? also, if you use a little dose early in the day (I'm sure it wouldn't make me sleepy), doesn't that detract from the dose you would use to get to sleep? if not i might try it. [me...]
Hard to recall with my benzo-fried brain, but it seemed more like my nervous system was "zingy". I just took a small amount of my dosage for the day, like .5 to 1 mg. So for instance if my full dosage was 10 mg., I would take out 2 x .5mg. dosages during the day, and 5 mg. at bedtime, 4 mg. in the middle of the night to get me back to sleep. Not super scientific, just whatever it took to get me through the day and night.

[Vm...]
I never understood interdose withdrawal. I researched it online and could not find much about it. I take klonopin twice a day and I get similar skin prickling/itching/electric shock feelings like you are explaining here. What exactly is interdose withdrawal?
