accidental dose?

hi i am tapering temazepam and i am taking 7.5 mg at bedtime and 4 mg at 4 in the am. last night i wasnt paying attention and i literally forgot whether i took the 7.5 or not.  i wasnt sure what to do so i took another (or a first) 7.5.

i slept similar to nights before except no night sweating.

 

so i don't know if i took 11.5 last night or 19.0. i have tapered down from 30 to 11.5 over 90 days and was stabilizing at 11.5.  if i did accidentally take 19 last night am i screwed? what should i do next? just go back to 11.5 and pretend it didn't happen? i heard it is very bad to increase does during a taper.

Help, I did the same thing with Ativan be taking an extra had mg at night two days ago because I wasn't sure if I took it or not.  Slept better then in the morning took two generic Benadryl/diphenhydramine total 50 mg in the morning and fell asleep for an hour.  I obsessed about it ruining my taper but it didn't and next day continued the taper of 1.5 mg Ativan at bedtime and I was fine. Didn't sleep today.  I would continue the taper and not go back up.  You worked too hard for this taper.  You will be Ok.  Please let me know how you are.

hi thanks for the help. next night slept 7 hours back on the regular 11.5 dose. so i know effects take two or three days to sink in but if i can get through the next two nights i will get back on my taper from 11.5. and i will never take an accidental dose again (or get confused...) thanks.
