Needing Withdrawal Support

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have been reading through the posts in your forum. I am new to this. I have tried NA, my family has no more ears to listen to my issue. I have been on Klonopin for four years. Am on my fifth day of withdrawal. I know not who I am anymore and just need people who get it....

I guess my question to the majority is: we're they able to work during this withdrawal time?

It depends.  Some can and some can't.  When you say you're on the fifth day of withdrawal, are you still tapering or have you quit cold turkey?

the very best thing you can do is go to work as soon as you can and stay busy. Keep your mind and body occupied.  Welcome to BB. Glad you are here.

It's hard to sift through this site and find the klonopin sufferers. Obviously, it's what I am interested in most. Through my countless weeks of research, I came to find out that Klonopin was put in the benzo category by mistake. I need some hope be I am on 1 mg a day and can't do anything but lay in my bed. My doc tried to put me on phenobarbital for 10 days with no klonopin and then I felt like each minute was torture to get through. I had to take a klonopin to get me out of that state. Is tapering just prolonging the inevitable?

She is still tapering. From klonopin . She is planning to jump at 0.25 . From what I understand that is considered a pretty high jump right? I jumped off at that much and had a intense acute phase.
